AIB and Ulster Bank Xero Bank Feeds

Instructions for Use

Please follow these intructions carefully. Generally if you edit the file from AIB or try to manipulate it you will increase the chance of this tool not being able to process the file.

We cannot provide instructions for use with Ulster Bank yet. The Ulster Bank feature is still in testing

Stage 1: Export File from AIB 24 Hour Banking

AIB 24 Hour Banking
  1. Log-In to AIB 24 Hour Banking
  2. Click on Export Transactions
  3. Select a date range that you are sure contains transactions
  4. Press Export Now

NB: DO NOT CHANGE THE FILE NAME OR EXTENSION **

NB: DO NOT OPEN THE FILE IN EXCEL BEFORE IMPORTING IT TO XERO

Stage 2: Run this Tool

  1. Press Choose File and in the file open dialog browse to where you downloaded the file from AIB
  2. The name of the file will appear beside the Choose File button if you selected it correctly
  3. Press the Process Statement button to convert the file into one that Xero can import

Stage 3: Import to Xero

  1. Open up the Xero homepage, hover over the Manage Account button for the account you want to upload transactions to. Press the Import a Statement link. Importing AIB files to Xero Step 1
  2. On the next page click the Browse button Importing AIB files to Xero Step 2
  3. Locate the .csv file that this website created for you and double click on it and press Import Importing AIB files to Xero Step 3
  4. If it is the first time you have imported a file to Xero from this website you may be asked to set some options for the import. If you are just make sure you use the options shown in this screenshot Importing AIB files to Xero Step 4
  5. The next page will show your imported transactions and our job here is done!
